The PDN Executive Board gathered to discuss and make decisions on several strategic priorities, notably priority pathogens for PDN. After general administrative and reporting updates, the meeting therefore focused on the identification of priority pathogens for PDN. A rigorous methodological evaluation of existing priority pathogens lists (CDC, ECDC, WHO, Africa CDC, NIAID…) was conducted and several rounds of filtering were conducted to obtain lists of 198, 50 and 15 priority pathogens, covering all biological domains of interest to NIAID. It was suggested to make the list machine-readable, discuss it with key public health stakeholders, and write a publication to present the methodology. In the next meeting, we will discuss a potential publication in the NAR Database issue about PDN resources.
